Comano village is very well catered for with shops, bakery, pharmacy, post office, tourist office and bank cash machine; as well as two hotels, restaurants and a pizzeria. A lovely shaded seating area overlooks Comano sports ground and tennis courts. Comano tower, which date back to the 12th century, is newly restored and is just a 10 minutes walk away.
There are a wealth of mountain walks literally on the doorstep and the coast at Lerice and Marinella are just 30 minutes drive away. From Lerice, it is well worth taking a boat trip to the world famous Cinque Terre.
CHOICE OF RENTAL ACCOMMODATION
- Orchidea: Sleeps 4 and is priced from 450 - 600 euros per week.
- Gardenia: Sleeps 2 and is priced from 350 - 500 euros per week.
Use of swimming pool
Directly opposite these two apartments is the Hotel Miramonti and guests can use the pool if they patronise the restaurant or pizzeria.The third apartment is about 3km out of Comano at Soumocomano in the Lagatrello direction, and is a 5 minutes walk up the hill from the village of Comano. The apartment is comfortably furnished with kitchen and en-suite. It is close to the ruins of Groppo S. Pietro and opposite a fishing lake.
- Gennona: Sleeps 2+2 and is priced from 400 - 500 euros per week.
RURAL TUSCANY LOCATION
Rural Tuscany is a beautiful location for holidays if you want to explore the outdoors and the local history. Mountain walks, rambling and horse riding are just some of the popular leisure activities on offer. Sight seeing includes ancient monuments and the coastal towns at Lerice, Portovenere and the Cinque Terre, which can be reached by boat or train. A coastal path links the Cinque Terre, which is a very popular walk The coast at Marinella is also nearby for those who enjoy a sandy beach.
